AI Systems Engineer - Paid Internship
About FoxPrep
FoxPrep is an AI exam-prep platform. We started with Georgia's national university entrance exam and are expanding into larger markets. Tens of thousands of students use our products. FoxPrep is supported by Google for Startups, Plug and Play and was awarded Best Newcomer Startup of the Year.
The role
We are three founders. You would be one of our first AI-native engineering hires on FoxPrep.
You will own the systems that let us launch new subjects, new exams and new markets quickly: how content gets in, how it stays correct, and how fast everything runs. You will build with AI agents and work directly with Irakli, our founder.
What you'll work on
- The question engine: getting content in at scale and keeping quality high, across OCR, generation, retrieval and automated checks
- Benchmarks and automated testing, so quality holds as we add subjects and markets
- Performance, architecture and infrastructure as usage grows
You may be a good fit if
- You are in your final year or recently graduated
- You are deeply comfortable with code and systems
- You have built and shipped things with AI agents, you believe in an AI-native future and can discuss the space
- You are comfortable working with data
- You are careful about correctness. This is exam content, and a wrong answer reaches thousands of students
- You write and communicate clearly
- You work in Georgian and English
Nice to have: Retrieval systems, OCR or document pipelines, evaluation and benchmarking work, internal tools you have built for your own workflow, or interest or experience in education or edtech.
How we work with
We are an AI-native company. You will embrace and master agentic workflows to output world-class work at 10–100x the traditional dev speed. The hard part is judgment: knowing when the agent is wrong.
Comp
800-1,000 GEL per month net. Employment contract, six-month probation.
How we hire
A 30-minute initial call, followed by in-person interviews (with each of the founders).
With your application, skip the formal cover letter and send us: a short note (written by you and not AI!) about your interest and projects in AI; How you'd approach building high quality content generation pipelines. Cover letter can be either in Georgian or in English; and your CV. Attach your CV (PDF) below and put your note in the message field. We review on a rolling basis. We reply to everyone.
Work Type
Full time; Hybrid mix of in-office and remote. We adjust to the student needs.
Six months internship followed by an opportunity to transition into full-time role.
